Family with Teens
The hotel has potential. It is near the freeway, and very close to Cal Poly. The room was average in size, clean and newly furnished. Since the entire hotel was being renovated, the lobby, pool and most of the parking lot were closed. Since it was early summer, we were hoping for some pool and spa time. Both were closed. The hotel was in the midst of a remodel so one floor was closed, the lobby was in a makeshift hotel room and the pool, spa and restaurant were closed.

The hotel was be renovated. The rooms were clean and met our expectations. The beds were awful. They were extremely soft.

The Holiday Inn Express in SLO was under going major repairs. Significant portions of the hotel were closed and not available - the lobby, reception, restaurant, pool and spa. We were very unhappy.

It is a very convenient place to stay if you are visiting a student at Cal Poly; short drive to Campus-nice walk into downtown SLO and near coffee shops and restaurants. The breakfast was better than the hotel across the street per friends that were staying at the Best Western. No in house restaurant opens yet. The front desk staff was terrific. We had contact with at least four different people and all were so friendly and responsive. We were also allowed a late checkout which was extremely helpful. ...read more

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel in SLO. We were pleased the first trip. If our son ends up going to the University there next year, we will continue to stay here as long as it remains clean friendly. ...read more
